Understanding how culture
impacts Evangelism and Social Ministry - Jazz Worship
February 8
5:30pm
The Metro East Task Force of the Central/Southern Illinois
Synod is sponsoring a presentation on “Understanding how culture impacts
Evangelism and Social Ministry”. The event will be a Jazz Service. At
5:30pm a social dinner will be held with the Jazz Service starting at
6:30pm. Our guest speaker at the service will be The Reverend Michael P.
Russell, Pastor at Jubilee Faith Community Church in Country Club Hills,
IL (in the Chicago area).
The questions we hope to address in this service include the
following:
How should we approach ministry in areas outside of our culture?
How do we enable change to reach outside of our familiar borders?
How do we help and support our congregations on the front lines
of cultural borders?
Where do we start on the path of diversity and inclusiveness in
our ministries?
We hope this event will initiate the dialog within our congregations
and church councils to address cultural diversity awareness within the
wall of our churches.
Join us for an enjoyable evening on Sunday afternoon February 8th,
